Point Construction helps customer with EPC Variance
Point Construction helps homeowners in obtaining a variance to Environmental Protection Agency (EPC) Wetland Setback in Hillsborough County. The EPC was created to protect environmentally sensitive areas. The homeowner’s property is 1.46 acres and shaped like a thin rectangle with wetland areas on each side. The EPC goes to these environmentally sensitive areas or wetlands and stakes the boundaries. From those boundaries, they require that any vertical structure must keep at least a 30′ buffer from the staked wetland line. Due to the configuration of the homeowners lot and wetland layout the homeowner was left with very little buildable land for a home. Point Construction stepped in and completed a variance process for the homeowner granting permission to encroach up 7′ on the sides and 5′ to the front of the EPC setback. We received approval on July 03, 2008.
